At Hanzebeeld, a photography tour isn’t just about ticking off sightseeing spots.
We deliberately choose special locations, small groups and the right moment. Sometimes we stay longer because a place keeps surprising us. Sometimes we stay longer because we don’t want to get in each other’s way. We want to make the most of the freedom we have.
This creates scope for creating images with character, each with its own story.
SMALL GROUPS
Space to explore and discover
On our trips, we deliberately opt for small groups. This creates a sense of calm and gives each photographer plenty of space. There’s no hectic itinerary where you’re constantly rushing to keep up with the group, but rather time to explore a location, experiment with compositions and wait for the right moment.
Everyone sees things differently. That’s why we think it’s important to give you the freedom to develop your own style and approach to photography.

Every journey yields a collection of stories. Not just about the places we visit, but also about the moments in between: the light, the atmosphere and the unexpected details that make a destination special.
OUR STORY
Stories in pictures
Our trips, in collaboration with Nvard Melkonyan from Centraltour, were born out of a love of photography, unique locations and the stories hidden away in Armenia and Georgia.
We take participants to places where history, culture and decay converge. Thanks to our local knowledge and contacts, we discover locations that you wouldn’t easily find on your own or to which you wouldn’t have access.
But above all, we believe that the most beautiful photographs are taken when you take the time to look. That’s why we travel in small groups and create space for mindfulness, inspiration and personal development.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Everything’s sorted, plenty of space for taking photos
We organise a well-planned trip with a focus on photography. From transport and accommodation to planning the locations: we prepare everything meticulously so that you can concentrate on capturing exceptional images.
What’s included?
This urban exploration photo trip to Armenia includes accommodation (twin room; single room available at an additional cost of €250) with breakfast, 6 lunches and dinners, hotel transfers, local transport, a guide and entry to the sites we visit as a group.
What is not included?
The outward and return journey, snacks, alcoholic beverages, tips, personal expenses, any entrance fees for locations not visited together, travel and cancellation insurance (mandatory), GGTO guarantee fund contribution of €9.00, booking fee of €15, any models.
What do you bring?
Your camera (one spare camera will go with you) with extra batteries + charger, a tripod, a torch, sturdy shoes and everything else you would normally take with you.
Is it possible to put forward your own suggestions?
Absolutely! In fact, every trip is fine-tuned in consultation with the participants to suit everyone’s preferences.
Is it possible to photograph a model at an urbex location?
Yes, certainly, it is possible to work with a model in many places. We have experience in this area too. This could be a great part of the trip. We’ll discuss this with the group so that several people can take part. The costs for this are not included in the standard price for this trip.
Is there a departure guarantee?
Our group tours are guaranteed to run with a minimum of four participants. As soon as this group size is reached, you will be notified and can then book your flight.
