Not interested in a group tour, but would you like to explore Armenia at your own pace and in your own way? With a bespoke photography tour, we’ll work with you to decide exactly what your trip will look like. We’ll tailor the dates, duration, locations and pace to suit your preferences.
Armenia offers a unique combination of stunning landscapes, ancient culture, people and places where Soviet history is still evident. Photography is at the heart of the experience: we seek out the places that match what you’d like to see and photograph, and we really take our time there.
Together with Centraltour, we’ll put your trip together. From accommodation and transport to the itinerary and programme: virtually everything is open to discussion.
With how many people?
This trip is designed for small groups. Whether you’re travelling as a couple, with friends or with your own group: it’s precisely because we’re travelling in a small group that we can be flexible and really tailor the itinerary to your wishes.
For who?
This tailor-made tour is for anyone who would like to discover and photograph Armenia in their own way. You don’t need to be an experienced photographer: the programme is shaped by your interests and preferences. From culture and landscapes to people, architecture or urban exploration. We’ll also tailor the level of physical exertion to suit your preferences. Would you prefer a leisurely trip or a hike through the Armenian countryside? Both are possible.
When?
There are no fixed departure dates for this bespoke photography tour to Armenia. Together, we’ll decide which period best suits your preferences and what you’d like to see and photograph. Armenia is fascinating in all seasons, so we can also tailor the travel dates to the type of photography you have in mind.
What are we going to do?
We’ll decide that together. Armenia offers a huge variety of photogenic spots: from ancient monasteries and small villages to impressive mountain landscapes, Soviet architecture and abandoned sites.
Beforehand, we’ll discuss what you’d like to see and have photographed. Based on this, Hanzebeeld and Centraltour will put together an itinerary and programme. In doing so, we’ll also make a point of seeking out special places off the beaten track.
Photography is our main focus. That’s why, rather than trying to fit in as many locations as possible in a single day, we make sure there’s plenty of time to look around, explore a place and capture the images you’ve come here for.
Only culture and nature?
Certainly not. It is precisely with a bespoke trip that we can combine different aspects of Armenia. Think of ancient monasteries and landscapes, but also of unique Soviet architecture, abandoned factories and other urban exploration sites.
Would you like to photograph a model at a special location during the trip, for example? We can include that in the programme too. The combination we put together depends entirely on what you’d like to see and photograph.
What does it cost?
We do not offer a fixed price for a bespoke photography tour to Armenia. The cost of the trip depends, amongst other things, on the duration of the trip, the number of travellers, the chosen accommodation and the details of the itinerary.
Once we have discussed your requirements, we will work with Centraltour a travel proposal and a suitable quote. That way, you’ll know exactly in advance what the trip will involve, how much it will cost and what’s included.
Included
What is included in the tour price depends on the agreed itinerary. This typically includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, hotel transfers, local transport, a tour guide and admission to sites visited as a group.
Not included
Not included are the return journey to Armenia, personal expenses, alcoholic drinks, tips, travel and cancellation insurance, and any activities or admission fees not included in the agreed programme. Any booking fees and the contribution to the GGTO Guarantee Fund will also be charged.
How does a bespoke holiday work?
Please use the form to tell us what you have in mind: how many people you’d like to travel with, your preferred dates, and what you’d like to see and photograph. We’ll then get in touch with you to discuss your requirements in more detail. Based on this, we’ll work with Centraltour to put together a suitable travel proposal.
Local support
Hanzebeeld works in partnership with Centraltour, the company run by Nvard Melkonyan. Nvard leads the tour alongside Hanzebeeld’s owner, Wim Robbertsen. This allows us to combine photographic guidance with extensive local knowledge of Armenia. Nvard speaks English, Russian and Farsi fluently.
