Room for freedom: discover Armenia the way you want with a private tour

Armenia is a beautiful and unique country to travel around in complete freedom. Besides being a hospitable country, it has breathtaking landscapes, the oldest churches on earth and delicious food.

Hanzebeeld organises various trips to Armenia. We specialise in taking people to the most photogenic places in the country. This can be a mix of culture, nature and, for example, urbex (abandoned buildings) and Soviet relics.

With a private trip, everything is negotiable. How fast we travel, how we travel, the type of accommodation, the type of restaurants and the places you want to visit. Through our experience and collaboration with Centraltour we can offer you the very best.

Are you interested? Just send an e-mail without obligation to info@hanzebeeld.nl and we will get back to you soon to make a no-obligation plan with a quote.

With how many people?

We are experienced in travelling with small groups. This way there is plenty of time, we are flexible and can share better and more with each other.

For who?

The physical effort required is basically limited. The trip is therefore suitable for young and old. Do you have a predilection for photography? Then we have a lot to offer you and will tailor the programme to your wishes. Are you interested in brisk walks through the most beautiful landscapes? All possible.

A private trip wouldn't be a private trip if everything was negotiable. So also the dates. We recommend (due to snow) travelling from March to October.

What can we do?

Armenia is a former Soviet country where much of the Soviets can still be found. But above all, it is the oldest Christian country. As early as 301, the country became a Christian state. Several churches can still be found from the fourth century. We can certainly visit those. Hanseatic sculpture will work together with Centraltour set up a well-groomed programme where we can visit the most beautiful and photogenic places. The trip will be fully taken care of. From accommodation, meals to transport. An important element in the trip is that we can really take our time to take the most unique photos at the different locations. We know these places well.

Only culture and nature?

Hanzebeeld knows the best places to intertwine culture and nature into a wonderful trip for you and yours. But there is more. For instance, we can visit (and photograph) unique Soviet buildings and sculptures, but it is also possible to visit urbex locations. Think of an abandoned radio telescope, an abandoned factory or an abandoned pioneer camp. Would you like to take a series of urbex photos with a model? That is possible. So there are many ingredients to achieve a wonderful trip. .

What does it cost?

For private tours, we do not work with fixed prices. We think it is important to set up and guide your ultimate trip in Armenia the way you want. Please contact us via info@hanzebeeld.nl or the form below so we can take stock of your requirements together.

Armenian guide

Hanzebeeld works together with Centraltour, the company of Nvard Melkonyan. She will be with our company throughout the trip, as will Hanseatic sculpture owner Wim Robbertsen. There will be plenty of personal guidance, if required. Nvard speaks good English, Russian and Farsi.

Experienced guide

Nvard is an amply experienced guide throughout Armenia. She is a walking encyclopaedia and knows a lot of background to what you see. From history to culture to geography and politics. She has extensive experience in guiding groups of up to 25 people.

Huge network

Sometimes it seems like Nvard knows everyone in Armenia. The fact is that she can always re-establish a line if needed.

Armenia is a highland country in the southern Caucasus. It was the first Christian country on earth. Many unique churches and monasteries also date from that time (from the fourth century onwards). The capital Yerevan is the bustling city where it all begins. The mix of nature and culture, along with the most hospitable people makes it an ideal holiday country.

You will find many influences in Armenian culture. The country has been alternately dominated by Persians, Mongols, Russians, etc. The Soviet Union has also added distinct elements to the current culture. The Armenians are proud of their ancient culture.

Armenia does not border a sea, but it does have several lakes, including the great Lake Sevan. From mountains of over 4,000 metres to vast empty valleys with fast-flowing rivers and natural parks... breathtaking

Because Armenia is relatively high and landlocked, humidity is not so high. Summers are hot, winters are cold. In between, it is extremely pleasant.
